| Making the Most of McAuliffe |
Making the most of McAuliffe throughout the school year . . .
includes weaving your conference experience into a comprehensive professional development plan for you,
your school, or your district. NHSTE, in partnership with other state organizations such as NHSAA, the
LESCN professional development centers, ATECH, and SERESC, Inc, is making that easier every year!
The following Conference Extensions are currently planned . . .

| Tech Integrators SIG ~ Integration Across the Curriculum Series |
|
Kita Maciolek, another new face to the NHSTE board, has volunteered to Chair the Technology
Teacher/Integrator SIG (Special Interest Group) for the 2006/2007 school year. She continues the
exciting work that Cyndy Currier has engaged in for the past two years. The NHSTE Tech Integrators
workshops have attracted hundreds of teachers since these workshops began two years ago.
|
To date the Tech Integrators integration sessions have covered Adaptive/Assistive Technologies,
Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, and the Humanities (art, music, and physical education).
In the coming year the following curriculum areas are on the agenda:
- Science: One of the next content areas to be tested on the NECAPs, this should be a hot topic!
- Social Studies: This area is rich with opportunities to explore both on the web and through software resources.
- Special Education: Back by popular demand, NHSTE plans to conduct another Adaptive/Assistive event.
