| Making the Most of McAuliffe |
Making the most of McAuliffe throughout the school year . . .
includes weaving your conference experience into a comprehensive professional development plan for you,
your school, or your district. NHSTE, in partnership with other state organizations such as NHSAA, the
LESCN professional development centers, ATECH, and SERESC, Inc, is making that easier every year!
The following Conference Extensions are currently planned . . .
|
| |
| NHSTE presents our Digital Storytelling Series . . . |
|
As educators we need to ensure that our students know how to tell an engaging story with words, photographs,
and video imagery; the languages of the 21st century.
NHSTE is addressing this need head-on during the 2007-2008 school year, by bringing three nationally renowned
speakers in the area of digital storytelling to New Hampshire.
|
Here is the NHSTE Digital Storytelling line-up planned for the 2007/2008 school year:
- Jason Ohler presents September, 20 & 21st, 2007.
Jason will conduct workshops both full- and half-day sessions on digital storytelling and other related topics.
- Will Richardson presents November 26th, 2007 in addition to his Keynote and concurrent sessions at CMTC.
Will is scheduled to conduct a half-day, hands-on digital storytelling workshop on Monday as a component of our PSDC offerings.
- Dr. Arnie Abrams presents January 23rd, 2008 in addition to his Spotlight Sessions at CMTC.
Arnie will conduct a full-day, hands-on digital storytelling workshop as one of the Tech Teacher SIG integration workshops.

| Tech Coordinators SIG ~ ICT Literacy Series |
Dr. Royce Robertson returns to the NHSTE board as Chair of the Technology Coordinators
SIG (Special Interest Group) for the upcoming school year with the emphasis on his passion, digital
portfolios for demonstating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy.
If you would like to suggest a speaker or topic, please contact Royce at rrobertson@plymouth.edu.
|
This year's NHSTE Technology Coordinator's SIG meetings will focus on legal issues, policies, and
technological ramifications of electronic portfolios as student records. Last year's focus involved
a variety of technological and educational topics, and this year we are extending that by focusing
on what aspects of electronic portfolios require policy development or revision. The dates have not
been specified yet; however, the initial plans are to have the meetings in Concord in January, March,
and May of 2008.
|
While at the conference, look for sessions with the ICT designation in the conference program to come
up to speed on the latest in ICT literacy skills.
