Educational institutions are under constant pressure to do more with less, and are looking for innovations in how to better manage their critical data for staff, faculty, students, and alumni. This session explores developments with both desktop and server virtualization models and how they can assist schools in doing more with less. Examples presented include VMware and Citrix Zen Server as well as various desktop virtualization models and what is required to implement these solutions. Considerable time will be spent understanding how to prepare your network and storage requirements to support a virtualized model. |
