Experience this series of online "Challenges" - or learning activities - that have been created by other New Hampshire educators over the past year. Workshop participants complete these activities online during the course of the workshop, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the new media literacies, and may continue working on them afterward at any time online in the Learning Library. The Learning Library is a web 2.0 tool co-developed by New Media Literacies (NML) that is free and available to teachers and students who wish to use a creative and engaging means of exploring the NML skills in the context of their own curriculum. The presenters discuss the new media literacies as relevant to their own teaching practices and exemplify this through the challenges they have created. In addition, they demonstrate to participants how they and their students can appropriate existing material or create their own Challenges from scratch by using this tool. |
