Hezel Associates, external evaluator of New Hampshire's statewide Title II-D grant, has collaborated with the NHDOE and grantees to develop student and educators surveys, and a classroom "walk-through" observation protocol. These tools were created to collect data to evaluate the implementation and impact of projects supported by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants. However, the evaluators designed them to be broadly useful as well, to help districts and schools across New Hampshire evaluate effectiveness of their technology initiatives. As part of an effort to accomplish that, Hezel Associates evaluators share these tools with participants, to help them learn (a) what they assess, (b) how they are used, (c) the data they provide, (d) how that data might be informative, and (e) what their districts and schools should do if they want to collect and use this information. |
