speaker 01 transparentA former kindergarten teacher and school Director of Technology, Steve Dembo is a pioneer in the field of educational social networking. As Discovery Education's Director of Learning Communities, Social Media Strategy and Innovation, he was instrumental in the explosive growth of the award winning community, the Discovery Educator Network. Dembo is the co-author of the book Untangling the Web: 20 Tools to Power Up Your Teaching. The National School Board Association named him one of 2010's "Twenty to Watch," a list honoring individuals finding innovative ways to use technology to increase classroom learning. Dembo is a course designer and adjunct professor for Wilkes University where he serves as class instructor for the Internet Tools for Teaching course within the Instructional Media degree program. He is proud to serve as the President of the Skokie/Morton Grove District 69 School Board.

speaker 02ADAM BELLOW is a dedicated educational technologist and father of two young boys. He is the Co-Founder of Breakout EDU, the immersive gaming platform that enables teachers and students to turn their classrooms into a place of discovery and inquiry-based learning. Before diving into his Breakout EDU endeavor, he served as a Presidential Innovation Fellow for the Obama White House. Over the past decade, Adam has created several popular edtech learning platforms including eduTecher, eduClipper, and WeLearnedIt. He is the co-author of Untangling the Web: 20 Tools to Power Up Your Teaching and serves as a board member for the EdCamp Foundation in addition to speaking internationally about education and the power of technology to enhance learning.
