FIRST LEGO League - Navigating with SPIKE Prime & Essential
Ken St.Hilaire, FIRST Senior Mentor, FIRST New Hampshire Robotics, and Jeremy Knowlton, White Mountain Science, Inc.

Level: Intermediate
Grades: K-5, 6-8
Continue to expand your knowledge in this hands-on session using sensors with the LEGO SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime robot platforms used by the FIRST LEGO League programs. Focus is placed on using the color, distance and gyro sensors to program your LEGO robot to navigate the FLL Challenge mat. Learn some tricks to perfect line-following, line-counting, and other practical robot navigation techniques. By the end of this session, you will gain the knowledge and experience to impress your students and guide them through some of these more advanced concepts. We also encourage you to come to this session with other programming challenges and questions that you may have with the LEGO SPIKE platforms, and we will provide individualized support to help you work through your specific challenge or question. This session is another in the series of LEGO workshops that we will provide during the conference. Each session will focus on a different functional area of the LEGO SPIKE platforms. Come to one session, come to all sessions, and learn by playing with us!
